Welcome to the website of the East Anglian Orienteering Association (EAOA), where you will find information about the region's clubs, details of events taking place in the region, as well as contact details for the officials who run the sport in the area.

If you are new to orienteering, you might like to start with this introduction.

Upcoming key EA events

  • 15th June - Please note that the EAOA AGM will be held at 12:30 before the WAOC event at Wimpole Hall - details. The previous minutes are available on our News page.
  • 7th July - Yvette Baker Trophy and Shield Finals Sandringham. Qualifying clubs must inform the organiser of their intention to take part in the final by 9th June (entries@waoc.org.uk). The YBTS coordinator has sent out a message to all club captains giving details on how to enter. If you have not received this please contact YBTS@waoc.org.uk.
  • 21st July - Change of date for EA Urban League event at Maldon.
  • 22nd September - EA League event at Baddow Ridge - see SOS website.

In orienteering terms, East Anglia comprises the whole of Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire, northern Buckinghamshire, southern Northamptonshire and most of Essex.

There are six open clubs (which anyone can join) in the region, as well as three closed clubs (whose membership is drawn from particular institutions). The approximate locations of the open clubs are shown on the map. Use the links on the clubs page to find out what's happening in your area.
